Changes to Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circular 02-81

The Coast Guard has published Change 2 to Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circular (NVIC) 02-81, Coast Guard Inspection Guidance Regarding Integrated and Articulated Tug Barge Combinations.

Change 2 to NVIC 02-81 revises NVIC 02-81 Ch.1 to include inspections guidance for Articulated Tug and Barge (ATB) combinations.

This NVIC, including these changes, are available on the Coast Guard NVICs website. Mariners and other interested parties should contact the Office of Commercial Vessel Compliance (CG-CVC) Division at CGCVC@uscg.mil or (202) 372-1216 with any questions or feedback.
