MIAMI — The U.S. Coast Guard is scheduled to hold a press conference, Wednesday, highlighting the offload of over 48,400 pounds of illicit narcotics worth more than $509 million at Port Everglades.

What: The Coast Guard is scheduled to hold a press conference discussing the results of 13 interdictions by the crews of U.S. Coast Guard cutters James and Mohawk, with an embarked Helicopter Interdiction Tactical Squadron aircrew and Tactical Law Enforcement Team-Pacific law enforcement detachment, and with the assistance of partner agencies during counter drug operations in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.

Media are asked to arrive no later than 9:30 a.m., for the press conference due to security screening requirements. Media are reminded that they need to go through Port Everglades check points first to access the offload event.
Media who want to arrive earlier for offload b-roll need to arrive no later than 8 a.m. Coast Guard will provide offload b-roll in the press release as usual.
