HOUSTON — The Coast Guard medevaced a 15-year-old who lost consciousness approximately 51 miles south of Freeport, Texas, Tuesday.
Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders received a Mayday call at 9:55 a.m., from the master aboard the vessel stating a passenger lost consciousness.
Watchstanders issued an urgent marine information broadcast and diverted a Coast Guard Station Air Station Houston MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew.
The helicopter crew arrived on scene, hoisted the patient, and transported him to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in stable condition.
