LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY — In an effort to maintain maritime incident readiness, Coast Guard, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, local, county and state agencies are scheduled to conduct law enforcement drills at McAlpine Locks & Dam on the Ohio River in the Port of Louisville, Kentucky on Wednesday.
The purpose of the drills is to enhance maritime incident response for both law enforcement and fire/rescue agency personnel who may respond to a maritime incident occurring along the Ohio River regional area.
The drills include a wide range of law enforcement tactics and emergency response procedures. Drills will include multiple agency responders operating near the McAlpine Locks & Dam facility on the Ohio River mile marker 606.8, in the Port of Louisville.
Media planning to attend should arrive no later than 8:15 a.m. EDT Wednesday at the McAlpine Locks Training Center, located at 2700 Marine Street in Louisville.
