Media Availability: Coast Guard vessel open for public tours, media engagements in Savannah

SAVANNAH, Ga. — The command and crew of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Campbell (WMEC 909) will host public tours and be available for media interviews while in port this Saturday in Savannah. 

Who: The command and crew of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Campbell (WMEC 909) and the local public. 

What: Campbell invites the media and members of the public to interact with crewmembers and command for tours and interviews. 

Where: Bulkhead Pier at 102 West River Street, Savannah. 

When: From noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 16. 

Media are invited to conduct interviews with the command and crewmembers from noon to 2 p.m. Media members should arrive by noon and RSVP by emailing lantpao@uscg.mil by 8 a.m. Saturday. 

Campbell is a 270-foot, Famous-class medium endurance cutter. The cutter's primary missions are counter-narcotics, migrant interdiction, living marine resources protection, and search and rescue in support of U.S. Coast Guard operations throughout the Western Hemisphere.
