SAN DIEGO — Due to hazardous weather conditions, Coast Guard Sector San Diego has established a temporary safety zone for the navigable waters of Mission Bay Channel. At this time, entry in and out of Mission Bay is prohibited unless authorized by the Captain of the Port.
The Coast Guard is collaborating with the San Diego Lifeguard Service to prioritize the safety of the boating public. All mariners, and anyone on watercraft, are strongly urged to make alternative arrangements as Mission Bay's closure will remain in effect until Jan. 1, 2024.
