ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Coast Guard Aids to Navigation Team St. Petersburg replaces the boards on the Alafia River Rear Range Light, on the Alafia River, Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023. The boards were damaged during Hurricane Idalia, creating an aid-to-navigation discrepancy and hazard to navigation. ANT St. Petersburg maintains the most aids in the Coast Guard at more than 1,300 aids. This crew is responsible for the majority of the aids on Florida’s Gulf Coast, ranging from Fort Myers to Cedar Key.
