NEW ORLEANS — The Coast Guard rescued three boaters Thursday from a disabled vessel near Southwest Pass, Louisiana.
Sector New Orleans watchstanders received a call at approximately 11:55 a.m. from a passenger aboard the disabled 24-foot vessel.
Watchstanders coordinated the launches of a Coast Guard Station Venice Response Boat-Medium boatcrew and a Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-60 Jayhawk aircrew to assist.
The aircrew located the disabled vessel adrift near Southwest Pass; lowered a radio and vectored in the boatcrew to assist. The boatcrew then put the vessel into a tow and transported them to Cypress Cove Marina in Venice, La.
No injuries were reported.
