HOUSTON — The Coast Guard rescued a man from the roof of his truck in Huntsville, Texas, Monday.
Coast Guard Sector Houston-Gavleston watchstanders received multiple calls reporting stranded vehicles in flood water near Lake Livingston in Huntsville, Texas.
The Huntsville Police Department stood up an incident command post and requested Coast Guard assistance. Watchstanders diverted a Coast Guard Air Station Houston MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew to assist.
The helicopter crew arrived on scene, hoisted the man, and safely transported him to awaiting EMS.
He was reported to be in stable condition.
