JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Coast Guard Helicopter Interdiction Tactical Squadron (HITRON) is scheduled to hold a change of command ceremony Friday at HITRON Jacksonville.
WHO: Capt. Dan Broadhurst, of Jacksonville, Florida, is assuming the duties and responsibilities as commanding officer of HITRON from Capt. Gregory A. Matyas, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
WHAT: A change of command ceremony is a time-honored tradition formally restating the continuity of the authority of command. It is a transfer of total responsibility and authority from one individual to another.
