U.S. Coast Guard completes Operation Nasse in Pacific region

HONOLULU – The U.S. Coast Guard completed participation in Operation Nasse, a three-month operation conducted by Australia, France, New Zealand, and the U.S. to safeguard the invaluable marine resources of Pacific Island nations and the Western Central Pacific Ocean, July 12.

Coast Guard participates in multinational exercise near Galapagos Islands

The U.S. Coast Guard joined coast guards and navies from 13 nations, between June 24 and July 9, in an exercise hosted by Ecuador to align international mission priorities seeking to ensure the defense, security, multinational cooperation and governance of the maritime domain of the Eastern Pacific Ocean. The Eleventh Coast Guard District employed the Coast Guard Cutter Benjamin Bottoms, a 154-foot Fast Response Cutter, and subject matter experts to engage in professional exchanges with international partners completing a variety of exercises centered around countering illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing operations.

Coast Guard sets port conditions for northern Florida, Georgia, South Carolina 

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Coast Guard captains of the ports (COTP) set port conditions, Sunday, for the Ports of Jacksonville, Fernandina, Brunswick, Savannah, coastal South Carolina and all other terminals and facilities due to forecasted sustained tropical storm force winds generated by Tropical Storm Debby that may arrive within 24 to 48 hours.
