Coast Guard Cutter Richard Dixon repatriated 15 migrants to Dominican Republic, Friday, following the interdiction of an irregular, unlawful migration voyage in Mona Passage waters near Puerto Rico, Thursday night. One of the repatriated migrants was interdicted in a separate migrant voyage on July 30, 2024.

Florida-based cutter returns home after supporting Maritime Border Operations in the Straits of Florida, Windward Pass

The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Venturous (WMEC 625) returned to their homeport of St. Petersburg, Thursday, after a 60-day Caribbean patrol. During the patrol, Venturous’ crew supported Operation Vigilant Sentry, a joint operation combining air and surface assets and personnel to address illegal maritime migration in the Caribbean corridor of the United States. The primary objective is to protect the safety of life at sea, and to deter maritime mass migration.

Coast Guard aircrew assists woman who fell from horse at Survivors Beach in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico

A Coast Guard aircrew, in coordination local emergency management, assisted a disoriented woman who fell from a horse at Survivors Beach in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Wednesday. Rescued is a 59-year-old woman, who was taking part in an equine tour ride with her husband when she fell off her horse and appeared to be disoriented, dehydrated, and in need of assistance.
