CLEARWATER, Fla. — Coast Guard aircrews rescued two adrift boaters, Sunday, after their 34-foot sailing vessel lost its sail 73 miles off Boca Grande.

Coast Guard sets port conditions for northern Florida, Georgia, South Carolina 

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Coast Guard captains of the ports (COTP) set port conditions, Sunday, for the Ports of Jacksonville, Fernandina, Brunswick, Savannah, coastal South Carolina and all other terminals and facilities due to forecasted sustained tropical storm force winds generated by Tropical Storm Debby that may arrive within 24 to 48 hours.

Coast Guard Captain of the Port for Sector St. Petersburg sets Port Condition Yankee

CLEARWATER, Fla. — The Coast Guard Captain of the Port for Sector St. Petersburg set Port Condition Yankee for the ports of Tampa, Manatee, St. Petersburg and Fort Myers, Saturday, due to forecasted sustained tropical storm force winds between 35 and 43 mph generated by Tropical Depression Four that may arrive within 24 hours.

Coast Guard Cutter Thetis returns home after 75-day patrol in the Windward Passage and Florida Straits

KEY WEST, Fla. — The crew of Coast Guard Cutter Thetis (WMEC 910) returned to their home port in Key West, Friday, following a 75-day migrant interdiction patrol in the Windward Passage and South Florida Straits. Thetis’ crew deployed in support of Homeland Security Task Force – Southeast and Operation Vigilant Sentry while patrolling in the Seventh Coast Guard District’s area of operations. Crew members carried out maritime safety and security operations aimed at safeguarding lives at sea and upholding U.S. maritime regulations.

Coast Guard Cutters Heriberto Hernandez and Richard Dixon repatriated 91 migrants to the Dominican Republic between Wednesday and Friday, following two separate interdictions of irregular, unlawful migration voyages in Mona Passage waters near Puerto Rico.
