Coast Guard to enforce safety zone for import of ship-to-shore cranes
The Coast Guard will enforce a temporary safety zone in the Savannah River for the import of intermodal ship-to-shore cranes, Thursday.
54-year-old man medically evacuated from cruise ship by Coast Guard
SAN DIEGO — The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 54-year-old man from a cruise ship approximately 45 miles off the San Diego coast, Tuesday. Cruise Ship Carnival Radiance crewmembers contacted Coast Guard Sector San Diego Joint Harbor Operations Center watchstanders requesting a medevac for a man experiencing seizure-like symptoms.

Coast Guard searches for 2 scuba divers in waters off ‘Caja de Muertos’ (Coffin Island), Puerto Rico
Coast Guard air and surface units are searching alongside Puerto Rico Joint Forces of Rapid Action and Ponce Municipal Police for two scuba divers who went missing, Wednesday, in Caribbean Sea waters off ‘Caja de Muertos’ (Coffin Island), Puerto Rico. The two male missing divers were dive fishing off a boat with two others, who remained aboard the vessel and reported losing sight of both divers.

Mid-Atlantic Coast Guard crews assist 34 mariners over weekend

U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Munro arrives in Japan, conducts training and engagements with Japan Coast Guard
The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Munro (WMSL 755) arrived in Yokosuka, its first international port visit while deployed in the Indo-Pacific Aug. 6. While in Yokosuka, Munro’s crew hosted several members of the Japan Coast Guard for professional exchanges including showcasing the Munro’s small boat and aerial capabilities, and search-and-rescue operations. The visit enabled members from both services to discuss shared mission objectives and shared maritime security challenges. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to meet with the Japan Coast Guard and share each other’s successes,” said Capt. Rula Deisher, Munro’s commanding officer. “It is a privilege for Munro and crew to work alongside our partners to support a free and open Indo-Pacific.”
