Coast Guard’s heavy icebreaker returns to the U.S. after 128-d
The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Polar Star (WAGB 10) and crew sail under San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge upon returning to the United States following their 128-day deployment to Antarctica to support Operation Deep Freeze 2025, March 30, 2025. Polar Star's crew completed their 28th voyage to Antarctica in support of the joint military service mission to resupply and maintain the United States Antarctic Stations.
