U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Kimball patrols the Bering Sea, North Pacific Ocean, and American Arctic
Ensign Matalynn Clark, a U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Kimball (WMSL 756) crew member, relays landing signals to an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew from USCG Air Station Kodiak during a helicopter landing evolution while Kimball patrols the Bering Sea, May 11, 2024. During their patrol, Kimball also operated with a forward deployed MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter and aircrew in Cold Bay, Alaska, and the District Seventeen command center to execute complex SAR exercises for improving, coordination, response times, and range of rotary Coast Guard assets to assist mariners in distress.
