A team from the Republic of the Marshall Islands departs their vessel to run mock law enforcement boardings simulating coming aboard fishing vessels to ensure compliance with their nation’s regulations while offshore Guam on June 5, 2024, to build proficiency and exchange best practices. Participants from the Guardian-class patrol ships PSS President HI Remeliik II (001) from the Republic of Palau and FSS Bethwel Henry (P902) from the Federated States of Micronesia, the Forum-class RMIS Lomor (03) from the Republic of the Marshall Islands, along with members from the USCGC Oliver Henry (WPC 1140), USCGC Frederick Hatch (WPC 1143), U.S. Coast Guard Forces Micronesia, and U.S. Coast Guard Base Guam team, showcased their skills. The event, part of the inaugural Operation Irensia, was held with partners from the Royal Australian Navy and Australian Defence Force Pacific Maritime Security Program, highlighting the collaborative spirit and enhanced interoperability among Pacific allies from June 3-9, 2024.
