U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Active returns home from Eastern Pacific patrol
Members from the San Diego-based U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Security Response Team (MSRT) - West conduct hook-and-climb training with the USCGC Active (WMEC 618) while the cutter patrols waters off Southern California's coast, March 18, 2024. MSRT - West is a specialized Coast Guard unit responsible for conducting maritime counter-terrorism and high-risk law enforcement operations with crews capable of boarding and securing vessels, conducting maritime interdictions, and responding to hostage situations or acts of piracy.
