U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Active and U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Terrapin crews conducts a towing exercise near Port Angeles, Washington, Oct. 24, 2023. As a Coast Guard resource, Active deploys in support of the Coast Guard's Eleventh and Thirteenth Districts as well as JIATF-S. Patrolling from northern most part of the contiguous United States, all the way to the equator, Active is a critical asset conducting search and rescue, counter-narcotics law enforcement, living marine resource protection, and homeland defense operations.
