Coast Guard repatriates 14 migrants to Dominican Republic, following unlawful voyage interdiction in Mona Passage
An unlawful irregular migration voyage is interdicted Oct. 23, 2023, by Caribbean Border Interagency Group partner agencies off the west coast of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Coast Guard Cutter Heriberto Hernandez repatriated 14 of the 15 migrants to Dominican Republic, while one other migrant is in federal custody facing federal prosecution for attempting to re-enter illegally into the United States.
