Coast Guard interdicts drug smuggling vessel in the Caribbean Sea
Coast Guard Cutter Joseph Napier interdicted a smuggling vessel in Caribbean Sea international waters south of Puerto Rico June 18, 2023. The cutter’s crew seized, approximately 2,024 pounds of cocaine, which are estimated to have a wholesale value of $23 million dollars. Four smugglers apprehended in this case face prosecution by the U.S. Department of Justice at the Federal District Court in Puerto Rico. (U.S. Coast Guard photo)
