U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Alert returns home after 61-day counternarcotics patrol in Eastern Pacific
Approximately 2,600 kilograms cocaine are displayed on the deck of the Coast Guard Cutter Alert (WMEC 630) while underway in the Eastern Pacific Ocean May 26, 2023. The Coast Guard employs Helicopter Interdiction Tactical Squadron MH-65 Dolphin helicopters and aircrews to locate and stop non-compliant suspected drug smuggling vessels.
