USCGC Campbell conducts multi-mission patrol in the Florida Straits and Windward Pass
The crew of the USCGC Campbell (WMEC 909) interdicts an overloaded Haitian sail freighter carrying 219 people, April 7, 2023, in the South Florida Straits. While underway in the Seventh Coast Guard District’s area of responsibility, Campbell’s crew conducted maritime safety and security missions while working to detect, deter and intercept unsafe and illegal maritime migration ventures bound for the United States.
