Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Jacob Hylkema
Petty Officer 2nd Class Jacob Hylkema, a boatswain's mate at Coast Guard Station Grays Harbor, has been selected to receive the 2016 Association for Rescue at Sea gold medal, for his extraordinary heroism on the night of Oct. 6, 2016, during the rescue of the master of the sailing vessel Grace.
