Welcome to the Coast Guard's 8th District, located in New Orleans, La.

The Coast Guard’s 8th District Headquarters in New Orleans is responsible for Coast Guard activities in 26 states. A majority of our activity is from our coastline states including Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the panhandle of Florida. There are two offices responsible for media relations here.
